Nicolas’ role at Shape
Creative is my domain, but it subsets with all the other great stuff we do here. Great design is a prerequisite of great products, not a feature and I make sure that every pixel in our apps is perfectly placed. Because of my background in advertising I bring an unusual amount of communication and branding experience into my work in mobile media.
Before Shape
I started out at one of Denmark’s largest advertising agencies where I worked as an Art Director with clients such as Carlsberg, Visit Denmark and Scandinavian Tobacco Group. During that time I was fortunate enough to receive awards from institutions like Aurora, Creative Circle and Cannes Lions. In 2007 I found my true calling as I began designing interfaces for mobile devices. As one of the first in the fledgling mobile interface design industry I got to work with a host of the companies we see dominate the app industry today. That eventually led me to meet the other founders of SHAPE, and the rest is history.
